Shame on you Varun !!

People like Varun Gandhi should have no place in Indian politics. He is just
trying to stimulate poor illiterate masses with his provocative speech and
hope to gather some votes. He knows very well that the hue and cry that is
currently on in the country will probably not reach the ears of people he
addressed in his rallies. While the urban population is disgusted, angry and
shameful at his comments, the poor people of Pilbhit may not be aware of the
seriousness.

He should not be allowed to contest as a independent candidate. EC should
get Varun to apologize publicly on national television and in front of the
same people of Pilbhit.

Shame on BJP if they field Varun Gandhi

EC's advice is indeed a slap on BJP's face. If they do not sit up and take
notice, its indeed a national shame for one of the largest parties of India.
EC may not have legal enforceable powers, but such a public rebuke should
act as deterrent. If there is any morality left in those at helm of affairs,
Varun's name should be struck of the list for now atleast. Agreed, every one
should get a second chance and a fair trial. But this person has shown no
remorse. He is adamant and exhibiting an attitude of arrogance. I saw his
comments on TV and see no guilt on this man's face. We all have done and
said things in life which we shouldn't have done or said. But we make up and
say sorry. At least this can be expected from a decendant of the great Nehru
- Gandhi family.

Varun, applojise. Please.
